Dr. Shubeck said she owes it to her clients to recommend the best place to continue the high quality pet care and fair and ethical treatment you have all come to expect here at SVC. We recommend Dr. Cherry Douglas at Village Square Veterinary Clinic, VSVC. We have known Dr. Douglas for almost 20 years now and we feel very comfortable that she is the best around our area. The best place to take your pets.

Dr. Shubeck and her husband Jack would like to thank all of the wonderful people and animals we have had the good fortune to get to know over the last twenty years! We wish we could go on forever but all things must pass.

Dr. Shubeck has decided to retire after a bout with cancer and complications following surgery. Her doctors at UM Sylvester cancer center have assured us she has beat the disease! We know she did! You can be sure!

Dr. Shubeck has practiced veterinary medicine for 35 years now. It's time to move on and travel in our new truck and trailer with our pets  We will greatly miss you all and always think about you while we are out on our travels.

Thank you all and best of luck always!

SOME HISTORY ON 70 YEARS OF SVC

DR. NANCY A. SHUBECK has owned SVC for twenty years. She purchased the clinic for Dr. Scott McOwen in 1996. Scott took over the operation from his father Dr. James McOwen who purchased the vet clinic from the original founder Dr. Eric Anderson. Dr. Anderson built the original two story section of the vet clinic starting in 1945 and opened for business in 1946. The Anderson family lived in the up stairs apartment with their young daughter. The McOwen's expanded the building adding the north wing and outdoor kennels behind building. Dr. Shu made improvements adding signage, central a/c and new floors along with new high tech equipment like digital direct read x-ray and laser treatment.

Seacrest Veterinary Center is the oldest veterinary clinic operating in the same location in Palm Beach County. We have explored ideas to continue our time here at our long time location but health issues and economic realities made the decision for us. The property has been purchased by AmericanCare, a human health care provider. www.americancarehp.com. They plan medical office use like they already have around Florida.
